SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. ‒ January 26, 2022 – Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, will continue to raise funds and awareness for charities across the country with the sale of three Ford-powered vehicles during the company’s 50th anniversary celebration at WestWorld of Scottsdale, January 22-30. The trio of Ford-powered charity vehicles crossing the Scottsdale block include a one-off 2021 Ford Bronco “Bronco 66” First Edition (Lot #3001), a 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 continuation car (Lot#3002) and the first production 2022 Ford Shelby GT500KR (Lot #3006).

“We’re continuing our legacy of giving back to our communities with many incredible charity vehicles crossing the block in Scottsdale,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Over the last 50 years, some of the most special auction moments occurred when our generous bidders raised their hands to support these charities. Many of these vehicles were first production and VIN 001 models generously donated by manufacturers and I look forward to the new memories we’ll create in Scottsdale this week when ten vehicles cross the block for charity.”

The first production 2022 Ford Shelby GT500KR (Lot #3006) is the first of only 60 “King of the Road” models that will be built to honor Shelby American’s 60th anniversary. Based on the world-class Ford Shelby GT500, the KR boasts over 900 horsepower, has a carbon-fiber hood, custom wheels, tires, suspension tuning, interior and anniversary badges. Only 180 total (60 per model year 2020-22) will be available in the U.S., with another 45 overseas. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Carroll Shelby Foundation and JDRF.

The 2021 Ford Bronco “Bronco 66” first edition (Lot #3001) honors the birth of the legendary SUV. The custom build is inspired by the 1966 Bronco and the robust, fully loaded SUV is based on the 2021 First Edition Bronco, which includes seven G.O.A.T. modes to go over any type of terrain. It is powered by a 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost engine that delivers approximately 310 horsepower mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 2-speed Advanced 4×4 system. One-hundred percent of the hammer price of “Bronco 66” will benefit the Pope Francis Center.

“It’s so incredible to see the good that comes from the sale of charity vehicles on our auction block,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “From funding medical research and providing needed care for our nation’s military and first responder heroes, to supporting higher education for students, the reach and impact from each vehicle sale is immeasurable. We are all blessed to be a part of this collector car community, which is so willing to help those in need.”

Lot #3002 is a continuation 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C (CSX6086) and will be auctioned to benefit the Mayo Clinic. NASCAR Cup Series diver Aric Almirola will also be on the block in support of this charity auction. The roadster is powered by a Shelby Engine Company 482ci V8 built by Yates and factory-rated at 540 horsepower and 565 ft/lbs of torque. It features a hand-laid Shelby fiberglass body finished in black with red Le Mans stripes mounted atop a 4-inch diameter DOM steel frame. The interior features Shelby custom black carpeting, 15-inch steering wheel, black vinyl seats and polished stainless-steel rollbar.
