As Danny Masterson, star of That 70’s Show, has been sentenced to 30 years to life in prison last week, many are wondering about the woman present at all his appearances in front of the court and media, standing beside him throughout it all.

That woman happens to be actress Bijou Phillips, Masterson’s wife of 12 years.

She has been standing by her husband’s side from the very beginning of his case, which began in 2020 when he was accused of raping a 23-year-old woman sometime in 2001, and then was alleged to have raped a 28-year-old woman in April 2003.

That same year, it was claimed he raped another 23-year-old woman at his Hollywood Hills home. The actor completely denied the allegations at the time three years ago.

Now, as he is staring down the barrel of a long prison sentence, his wife is reportedly “distraught”, but has no plans to leave him.

A source recently told People, “She has had a very difficult time since the conviction,

“She loves Danny and has no plans to file for divorce. She will be by his side for it all.”

Bijou Phillips is a 43-year-old actress who has starred in movies such as Almost Famous, Venom and Hostel: Part II. She has also appeared on TV shows such as Hawaii Five-0, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Raising Hope.

Phillips and Masterson also starred in two movies together in 2009: Made for Each Other and The Bridge to Nowhere.

Her father is the late musician John Phillips, who was the lead singer of ’60s rock group The Mamas & the Papas. Her sister is singer Chynna Phillips, who has been married to actor William Baldwin since 1995.

Bijou Phillips and Danny Masterson were first spotted together in 2004 at a poker tournament in Las Vegas.

They went public with their relationship in 2005 and announced their engagement in March 2009. 

When did Bijou Phillips and Danny Masterson get married?

Masterson and Phillips have been married for almost 12 years. They tied the knot in the Irish countryside in 2011 in an intimate ceremony.

The event was a nod to Masterson’s Irish heritage, with the newlyweds holding a formal reception inside a private castle in Tipperary, which capped off a week-long celebration for their family and friends.

The couple share one child together, a daughter named Fianna, who they welcomed on Valentine’s Day in 2014. 

“Hello friends. Beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter Fianna Francis Masterson!” the actor gushed on Instagram at the time, as he shared a sweet snap of the newborn sleeping on his chest. 

“Mom and baby are doing amazing. You can all refer to me as dj dadpants from now on . . . Wifey @bijouphillips will post a pic on her insta too. Cheers!”

As promised, Phillips also gushed about their new arrival on her Instagram account. 

“Fianna Francis Masterson, 2/14/14 8LBS, 5OZ, 21in, she is a perfect valentine!!!” the proud mum wrote.

What is Bijou Phillips doing now?

Though Phillips’ Instagram account was deactivated, it has since been reactivated.

However, there have been no posts since June 3, 2020 when she posted a black tile to Instagram, likely in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement in the light of George Floyd’s murder.

The actress has not starred on TV or film since 2013 in her short role for Raising Hope, choosing instead to focus on her husband and daughter.
