We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday.

Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order.

Anna Lunoe – Deep Blue Sea

Genre: Future House, Techno

Anna Lunoe Deep Blue Sea 1 jpg

Anna Lunoe is atop the Electronic scene in Australia. A DJ, radio host, producer, vocalist, and curator, she has made a career for a long while now, and made appearances in festivals across the pond such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, and EDC Las Vegas. Her style blends the best notes of Techno, Tech House, and Future House, to craft something otherwordly.

Deep Blue Sea’, her latest single, aims to redirect her sound over to a new era, and does so with a more-than-needed-in-the-industry amount of originality. Heavy Techno beats stand opposing flavourful, melodic breaks, with a sound that is mere inches away from being old-school. It’s a journey.

Cell M8 – stay. x

Genre: Breakbeat

Cell M8 stay x jpg

A newborn in the scene, Cell M8 is a mysterious producer from the UK. Not much is known about them, only that their debut single, ‘stay. x‘, is out now. And what a tune it is.

Somehow this track manages to sound vintage and modern all at once. It drives a chopped “stay” vocal loop throughout the duration of the piece, over a tasty Breakbeat base. The feeling is ecstatic, a tad aggressive, but everything is in its right quantity.

Erick T – Gea (Gabrielle AG Remix)

Genre: Progressive Trance

Erick T Gea Gabrielle AG Remix jpg

Here’s a great one. Have a listen to Mexican producer Erick T‘s 2020 hit song, ‘Gea‘, reimagined as a lovely Progressive Trance tune by Gabrielle AG. Two forces collide, on one side we have a man who’s released on labels like Staar Traxx and Axtone, and on the other we have an artist DJ Mag Spain calls “the Queen of Trance in Mexico“.

And the track itself doesn’t disappoint at all. Gabrielle AG’s ‘Gea’ rethink is the perfect combination of Progressive House and Trance, with tasty basslines, percussion that is so simple yet unique, vocal beds, summer pianos, and so much more.

Felix Caso & Ynnox – Waiting For Your Love

Genre: Future Bass, Electro Pop

Felix Caso x Ynnox Waiting For Your Love jpg

Coming from a musical family, German songwriter, producer and musician Felix Caso began his journey in this craft when he was only five, with a trumpet. Eighteen years later, he’s well on his way to becoming one of the most influential artists out there, enjoying the beauty of a genre he likes to call Electronic Pop Music (EPM).

He’s recently joined forces with Spotify sensation Ynoxx for a single titled ‘Waiting For Your Love‘. Soft, slow-motion-like, and with an enormous potential to be played on radio stations worldwide, the track talks about non-correspondent feelings from a hopeful point of view. We’ve all been there, wishing for that love to come our way.

ARIA – Tonight (BYOR Flip)

Genre: Deep House, Tech House

ARIA x BYOR Tonight BYOR Flip jpg

Another track that caught our eye this week is this one: ‘Tonight (BYOR Flip)‘. Originally from producer ARIA, the Pop track recently received an EDM treatment from BYOR. This guy doesn’t play around. We’re talking, Spinnin’ Records deals, and shows at Ushuaïa Ibiza.

BYOR’s ‘Tonight’ Flip features a range of tasty dynamic hats over a layer of groovy, Deep House bass plucks. The vocal tops everything off forming a product that is best heard than it is described. This one is a future radio classic in our eyes.

Mav0 – Phonkstep Resonance

Genre: Dubstep, Phonk

Mav0 Phonkstep Resonance jpg

Have you ever wondered what Phonk and Dubstep would sound like together? We had. And American producer Mav0 scratched that very itch. Focused on crafting the punchiest, spiciest tracks out there, he came up with something quite unique.

Phonkstep Resonance‘ is a daring, very welcome move. Blending the racing-oriented vibes of the Phonk genre with the power of Dubstep, Mav0 successfully went full alchemist mode and created a bomb. Enjoy the break with its purist essence, only to get to the drop and put on your best lemon face.

Zombic, Paul Keen & Bastiqe feat. Lena Sue – Fatal

Genre: Eurodance, EDM

Zombic x Lena Sue x Bastiqe x Paul Keen Fatal jpg

This one is a purebred German banger. We’ve got a handful of acts: Zombic, a viral 21-year-old producer with streaming numbers in the millions, Paul Keen, one of the biggest upcoming artists in the country, Bastiqe, a veteran in the game, having kicked off his career in the year 2009, and Lena Sue, a German-American singer, writer and topliner, able to transition seamlessly between genres.

Their mega collaboration, ‘Fatal‘, brings together the mastery of all four of them, to produce a piece that takes the Trance pianos from the late 90s out of retirement. Reminiscent of Robert Miles and Calvin Harris, the track flies us back to those simpler times when music videos were just shots of the artist in fancy clothes, dancing in public.

JAYCiX – Lose Control

Genre: Future House, Progressive House

JAYCiX Lose Control jpg

Scottsdale producer JAYCiX just released a gigantic EP. The four-tracker is called the Late Nights EP and contains the best of Joey’s signature House sounds, from Future, to Progressive, Deep, and beyond.

Our favourite of them all is ‘Lose Control‘, a tune that can only be described as Daft Punk meets Fred again.. meets Gareth Emery. Yeah, that is quite the long shot, but trust us, it’s got that feeling. And for that we love it. It’s an easy listen, and one you might have in repeat for a while.

Final Words

Stay tuned for all the music we’ll be sharing under the NMF and TTT concepts each week. And be sure to follow EDMTunes for all the latest news and reviews that revolve around our beloved Electronic Dance Music!

Sultan + Shepard Unveil Spectacular Album Endless, Dawn

tracklist 820x1024 1 jpg

It’s new music Friday, and you know how much we enjoy this day of the week. Today’s mix has This Never Happened superstar duo Sultan + Shepard and their immaculate release Endless Dawn. The wait is finally over for their third studio album out now on every platform. Have a listen and share with us your favourite track. I guarantee that is going to be a tough — maybe impossible — choice.

The lads take this album to a whole new level with collaborations. None of them should be strangers to you lot, Bridges, Elderbrook, Julia Church, LANKS, Nathan Nicholson, Panama, Shallou, Tishmal and Tasha Josephine. If you were in Denver or London earlier this week you could have heard this album live. Ossama & Ned teamed up with Dolby Atmos for a listening party which was a huge success. They also hosted a Zoom meeting for all of us in the other parts of the world. Let me tell you, it was a grand Wednesday afternoon, with people joining from work, the gym, and all multitudes of different places. I was one of the 250 people who attended this party and it was an experience I very much cherish. This tradition started back in the Pandemic when S+S released their first album Something, Everything and hopefully continues moving forward.

Journey of Endless, Dawn

S+S have been in the scene for over two decades. You’d remember them for their energetic festival sets, and mainstage songs. Since then the duo has grown tremendously in the direction of Melodic and Progressive House. They made their imprint by getting grounded with our favourite Lane 8 & the This Never Happened label. The 14-track LP is not only a compilation of Ned & Ossama’s most recent works but tales that were prepared in the past few years. The album as a whole highlights growth, and finding who you are eventually. Songs that have been with them for over 2 years, that didn’t make it to Forever, Now. From the club mixes to angelic vocals, you are in for a treat: falling in love with their music. The tracks line up beautifully, painting a picture of a spiritual evolutionary journey.

tracklist 820x1024 2 jpg

In the few months since the announcement and anticipation of delivery, Endless, Dawn spawned a quartet of singles. They commenced with ‘Under The Surface’ with the vocals of Nathan Nicholson followed by Panama on ‘Falling Behind‘, ‘En’ and ‘Highest Love’ with LANKS. The 14 tracks experienced cuts and plays, Lane 8 scattering them in his multiple mixtapes. In Lane 8’s winter mixtape fans previewed ‘All I Know’ with Julia Church and ‘Out of The Silence’ with Tasha Josephine. You may already know this but ‘All I Know’ probably became one of the most rewinded tracks on a mixtape. Winding back to the Fall 2023 mixtape, we heard the collaboration with Elderbrook I’ll Be Here‘. The album today had a flurry of never-heard tracks ‘Murmur’, Endless, Dawn’ and more.

Endless, Dawn

The first track ‘Murmur’ sets up the pace of the album beautifully with the classic Sultan & Shepard sound, the arps and the progressive buildup. Setting up a perfect tone for the next two tracks that feature the beautiful vocals of Elderbrook and Tishmal. The tracks from start to finish paint a story of growth, from who they were as people when they started this journey of music to who they are at the end of the album. The lyrics of Sultan & Shepard’s tracks always create an emotional upliftment. It metaphorically highlights the evolution of them as artists. We take a bit of a break from the emotions to a real mood lifter or they call it ‘Cloud Lifter’ and a banger ‘Bracket Burst’. These two will definitely have a special place on the dancefloor. Each track paints a different story but together this album hits differently. How can I forget the lovely track with Shallou that was co-written with Steven Mckay? The Grammy-nominated songwriter has collaborated on three tracks in Endless, Dawn. The build-up to the title track ‘Endless, Dawn’ is unreal, it actualizes the reserved emotions that rise to the surface creating this fruitful album.

Whilst we enjoy this album, get ready for Sultan & Shepard to join their fans with their live tour. You can check out their page here, to see if they will be playing in a city around you.

Stay tuned to EDMTunes as bring you updates from the Electronic dance music world!

Past and present result in a thunderous track, as Techno goddess Charlotte De Witte releases her newest rework of ‘Universal Nation’ by Push. The track also happens to be the first release under her new label ÉPOQUE. Under her main label KnTxT, ÉPOQUE serves as a rebirth of Dance classics that translate into today’s scene. Let’s take a deep dive into the past, shall we?

Universal Nation

Charlotte De Witte chose this classic to rework as it is a cultural reset on its own. The original ‘Universal Nation’ has a hard beat that lights up the dancefloor and a groove that was fitting of the raves in the 90s. The Belgian producer spins it into a hypnotic soundscape. The groove turns more cinematic and the main melody gets deeper and darker.

Moreso, the reverbs and distortions blow up into an atmospheric masterpiece. From beginning to end, the song hooks you into a trance as your body follows the smooth rhythm. The subtle acidic elements of the track are just the icing on the Techno cake.

The label’s mission is to bring back the archives of some of the greatest Dance hits and adapt them to the modern world. Through careful design and rebranding, each track ought to inspire the new generations. Charlotte De Witte knows how to create timeless classics, and bring forth incredible artists to her roster. We can’t wait to see how this new label showcases another side of history.

First thing first, let’s indulge in ‘Universal Nation’:
