This past weekend A Records label boss Jessica Audiffred put on a high octane performance at the Brooklyn Mirage. Hailing from Mexico City, Jessica has become a prominent figure in the bass scene after bursting in the U.S. electronic market over the past years. Her electrifying stage presence has taken over festival stages at Lost Lands, Tomorrowland, Beyond Wonderland, EDC, Forbidden Kingdom, Moonrise, just to name a few. She has also been on tour with other dubstep staples such as Excision, Riot Ten, DIESEL, selling out arenas and other iconic venues across North America. Her haymaker bangers and relentless bass have sparked frenetic energy in her fans, not to mention all the blazing mosh pits that she has incited at her shows.

As Jessica took the stage for a special sunrise set at the Mirage sanctuary, it was clear that from the first track that she was not here to play it safe. She had a tasteful curation of dubstep, selecting tracks that are as brutal as they are beautiful. The basslines were hitting like a freight train as the packed venue was sent into a flurry of headbangs and fist bumps. The sound was especially bumping in the venue on this day as the wobbles and growls resonated from the speakers, inciting a wild energy amongst those in attendance. Standout tracks such as ‘Never Be The Same‘ and and Mega collab ‘Rise‘ with Excision went especially hard. On top of the seamless transitions between the haymakers and moments of calm with beautiful vocals, Jessica’s riveting crowd presence was especially apparent. Her colorful hair and energetic charisma stood out center stage as she commanded the crowds with her beats and infectious energy. Her recent collaboration with DIESEL ‘NO FEAR‘ perfectly exudes her approach towards her bold take towards her music and performances. Jessica also had a set of new visuals that were colorful and a sight to view on the ultrawide LED screens of the Brooklyn Mirage.

Jessica is currently on her Mad House World Tour with notable festival stops at Lost Lands, Tomorrowland Brazil, and Apocalypse Festival. She will also be making stops at Mission Ballroom in Denver, Vanguard in Orlando, and The Midway in San Francisco to a name a few. Check out where she is playing on tour down below as her performances are not to miss.

Study Says Microdosing Psychedelics Helps with ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects both children and adults. It is characterized by symptoms such as inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, which can significantly impact daily functioning and quality of life. While there are various treatment options available, including medication and therapy, researchers are constantly exploring new avenues to improve the lives of individuals with ADHD. Recently, a groundbreaking study conducted by the Department of Neuropsychology and Psychopharmacology at Maastricht University in the Netherlands has shed light on the potential benefits of microdosing psychedelics for people with ADHD.

The study aimed to investigate the effects of microdosing non-hallucinogenic psychedelics on mindfulness and personality traits in individuals with ADHD. Over the course of four weeks, nearly 250 participants were asked to repeatedly take small amounts of these substances, while their mindfulness and personality traits were measured. The results of the study were both intriguing and promising.

One of the key findings of the study was that over 80% of the participants reported practicing mindfulness. This suggests a potential connection between microdosing psychedelics and the cultivation of mindfulness in individuals with ADHD. Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and engaged in the present moment, without judgment. It has been shown to have numerous benefits for mental health, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving focus and attention, and enhancing overall well-being.

The results of the study indicated that trait mindfulness, particularly the aspects of description and non-reactivity, were significantly increased in individuals who had been microdosing psychedelics. This suggests that microdosing may have the potential to enhance mindfulness in individuals with ADHD, which could have a positive impact on their symptoms and overall functioning.

It is important to note that the study focused specifically on non-hallucinogenic psychedelics, which means that participants did not experience any psychedelic effects or hallucinations. Instead, they took small amounts of these substances that were below the threshold for producing any perceptible changes in consciousness. This approach was chosen to minimize potential risks and ensure the safety of the participants.

The Role of Microdosing in ADHD Treatment

The findings of this study have significant implications for the treatment of ADHD. Currently, the most common treatment options for ADHD include medication, such as stimulants or non-stimulants, and behavioral therapy. While these treatments can be effective for many individuals, they are not without their limitations. Some individuals may experience side effects from medication, or find that their symptoms are not adequately controlled. In addition, therapy may not be accessible or affordable for everyone.

Microdosing psychedelics could potentially offer a new and alternative treatment option for individuals with ADHD. By enhancing mindfulness and improving attention and focus, microdosing may help individuals better manage their symptoms and improve their overall well-being. It is worth noting that microdosing should always be approached with caution and under the guidance of a healthcare professional, as it is still a relatively new and understudied area.

Further research is needed to fully understand the potential benefits and risks of microdosing psychedelics for ADHD. However, this study provides a solid foundation for future investigations and highlights the importance of exploring innovative approaches to ADHD treatment.

Conclusion

The recent study conducted by the Department of Neuropsychology and Psychopharmacology at Maastricht University has provided valuable insights into the potential benefits of microdosing psychedelics for individuals with ADHD. The findings suggest that microdosing may enhance mindfulness and improve traits associated with ADHD, offering a new and alternative treatment option for those living with the condition.

As with any new treatment approach, it is important to approach microdosing psychedelics with caution and under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Safety and responsible use should always be the top priority. With continued research and open-mindedness, the potential benefits of microdosing psychedelics for ADHD may become clearer, offering new possibilities for individuals seeking relief from the challenges associated with this condition.

Creamfields To Build Largest Indoor Stage Ever For 2024

1f449

Creamfields is going big for 2024, really big. The UK Music Festival took to Instagram to announce an incredible new stage for 2024. The APEX Stage will be the largest indoor festival superstructure ever.

Called ‘APEX’, it will have a capacity of 30,000. The stage will be open Friday-Sunday of the festival with an extended 4 am close time on Saturday. This is the latest end time of the festival to date.

Previous mainstages of Creamfields always featured a giant LED screen and plenty of production around it. However, given the unpredictable weather in England, this structure will shield festival-goers from the elements.

The pictures of the proposed stage look stunning. Creamfields will take place from August 22nd – 25th at Daresbury, Cheshire. It has a daily attendance of 70,000 over the 4 days. There are limited tickets available here.

Tomorrowland Winter Confirms Full 2024 Lineup With Vintage Culture, Nina Kraviz, + More

tomorrowland winter 1100x1375 1 jpeg

Just because it’s getting colder outside doesn’t mean excitement for festivals has to slow down. Tomorrowland Winter has confirmed the full lineup for its 2024 return to the French Alps.

From March 16-23, 2024, over 150 artists spanning the entire electronic spectrum will ascend to the Alpe d’Huez ski resort for a week of dancing on the highest peaks surrounded by panoramic, snow-capped views.

New additions include underground titans like ANNA, Yulia Niko, Mind Against, and Sama’ Abdulhadi, alongside champions of bigger sounds like Alesso, Laidback Luke, Vini Vici, and Blasterjaxx.

A cornerstone of the Tomorrowland Winter experience is dancing in complete cold weather gear, which attendees will be able to do on the stage aptly titled Top Of The Mountain (which sits at 3,300 meters above sea level). This comes in between hitting the slopes and even having the chance to go dog sledding or paragliding over the icy peaks.

However, throughout the week, attendees will also be able to dance indoors as the festival takes over the entire Alpe d’Huez resort. Many of the stages are covered and heated, and guests can enjoy all the other amenities the resort offers like fine dining and spa experiences.

Check out the full lineup for Tomorrowland Winter 2024 below. Click here to purchase tickets.
