A Shared Victory

“It was an overwhelming feeling of mixed emotions. As an actor, this means the world to me,” the actress begins. “While filming, I just dedicated myself to give more than good justice to my role and make the most out of the working experience with Ms. Nora. Bonus na lang na may makapansin at pumuri sa efforts ko.”

Even in her Gen Z status, the actress is already hoping that her win will inspire the next generations who would like to pursue the same craft as hers. “I dedicate this award to the younger generation of actors as well, especially to the aspiring ones who may face obstacles along the way. I want them to know that their dreams are valid, and with passion, perseverance and the right amount of love and respect for yourself and what you do, anything and everything is possible,” she offers.

A Role of a Lifetime

Perhaps it is Bianca’s consistent and persistent willingness to refine her craft that takes her to greater heights, with recognition just a prefix to her grit. For Mananambal in particular, the actress not only had to play the part but actually look and be it.

Sharing her process, she recounts, “I prepared for it mentally by doing my research about what the life and ways of a true mananambal is. Emotionally, I did personal workshops to build the character and study my scenes. Of course, physically, by growing my hair longer and enhancing my morena skin more for the look of the role.”

During the festival, the actress also exerted her effort for her looks. She reveals to MEGA that throughout their Japan trip, it was only her and her stylist, John Paul Dizon, who collaborated with her ensembles. “He was in charge of my clothing and I was in charge of my hair and make-up,” she shares. “In all the years that JP and I have been working together, what we value the most in our team up is collaboration.”

The Next Bianca on Camera

After the Jinseo Arigato Film Festival, Mananambal has yet to make its Filipino cinema debut. “Iniikot pa sa iba’t ibang film festivals internationally. Pero definitely ay magkakaroon kami ng theatrical release dito sa Pilipinas. Hopefully, by the end of this year,” the Kapuso star says.

Sang'gre Encantadia
The actress plays the daughter of Danaya, known as Terra, in the upcoming series, Sang’gre

Hopping from one project to the next, Bianca is also top billing the next Encantadia series Sang’gre. With fans of the past and today surely on their toes for the series, the actress shares the excitement of the audience. “We have been in the process of creation and taping since November last year. It is a project na pinaglalaanan namin ng napakaraming oras at paghahanda para mapaganda. Hindi na rin ako makapaghintay na makita ng mga tao ito.

What’s the difference between a DWI and a DUI?

Pop icon Justin Timberlake finds himself in legal trouble after being arrested in Long Island, New York.

According to a representative from the Sag Harbor Police Department, the 43-year-old was taken into custody on the morning of Tuesday, June 18, following a night out at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, NY. After enjoying dinner at the establishment, Timberlake was pulled over by police while driving to a friend’s house, ultimately leading to his arrest on “”Driving While Intoxicated” charges. As of the time of this writing, the singer remains in police custody, with an official statement from law enforcement expected later today.

Did Justin Timberlake’s arrest involve drugs?

To better understand the situation, let’s delve into the differences between DWI and DUI charges. DWI, which stands for “Driving While Intoxicated,” is a specific legal term used in some states, including New York, to describe the act of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. In New York, a person can be charged with DWI if their blood alcohol content (BAC) is 0.08% or higher, or if they exhibit signs of impairment due to alcohol consumption. The consequences of a DWI conviction in New York can be severe, including fines, license suspension, and even jail time, depending on factors such as the driver’s BAC level and prior offenses.

On the other hand, DUI, or “Driving Under the Influence,” is a more general term that encompasses driving while impaired by alcohol, drugs, or a combination of both. In states that use the term DUI, it can refer to impairment caused by illegal drugs, prescription medications, or over-the-counter drugs that affect a person’s ability to operate a vehicle safely. The specific laws and penalties for DUI vary by state, but they often involve similar consequences to those of a DWI conviction.

Based on the information available at this time, it appears that Timberlake’s arrest was specifically for DWI, suggesting that his impairment was related to alcohol consumption rather than drug use. However, it is essential to note that the full details of his arrest have not yet been disclosed and further information may come to light as the case progresses.

If convicted of DWI in New York, Timberlake could face a range of penalties, including fines up to $1,000, a license suspension of at least six months, and possible jail time of up to one year for a first offense. Additionally, he may be required to install an ignition interlock device in his vehicle and attend alcohol education or treatment programs.

From the courtroom, a spokesperson has indicated that Timberlake is scheduled for arraignment later today.

The 10 Best Rachel Weisz Movies, Ranked

28 1

Rachel Weisz first shot to fame with The Mummy in 1999. In the years since, her filmography has become a tapestry of intriguing women. She has explored attractions along the spectrum, fought for the world to accept what should be an obvious truth like the Holocaust, and been the matriarch of a Russian family of spies. From Evie O’Connell’s Egyptian obsession to Lady Sarah’s sharp tongue in The Favourite, Weisz never fails to find the details and depths of her characters. She’s been the star of a Hollywood blockbuster when it suited her, but the majority of her choices are more subtle and simultaneously complex. In one of her few television appearances, Dead Ringers, she plays a pair of twin gynecologists who routinely swap between duties and use various vices to cope with the horrors of the birthing industry.
