Buckle up, music lovers! Today marks the release of the much-anticipated triple collaboration, ‘Coming in Hot‘. The triple threat collab by the powerhouse trio of MARKUS BRAUN, SOUTHSIDE DIDDY, and HAWD HITTA. These three maestros joined forces in an electrifying studio session back in April. From this, they created a musical masterpiece that’s now available on all platforms. The track promises an adrenaline-pumping experience, blending MARKUS BRAUN’s bassline wizardry, and HAWD HITTA’s final arrangement touches. Additionally, it also features the catchy vocals of SOUTHSIDE DIDDY. Brace yourselves for a sonic journey that transcends genres, featuring finely tuned lasers, car sound effects, and solid percussion.

The Serendipitous Encounter

The story behind this explosive collaboration is as intriguing as the music itself. Picture this: Fall of 2022, SOUTHSIDE DIDDY took a Lyft with a mysterious driver. This driver turned out to be none other than HAWD HITTA. A chance encounter sparked a musical connection, leading to a collaboration that was long overdue. Fast forward to that fateful Spring day in April. A day when MARKUS BRAUN, armed with an older instrumental, joined the duo. Moreover, it was from this beat that they created the hit we’re vibing to today. It’s a tale of destiny, passion, and the unspoken language of music.

Club Level Records’ Rising Star

This release marks the eighth triumph for Club Level Records, founded by Austin Diduch, co-founder BRAUN himself, and quality control maestro Ian Edson. As we look ahead to 2024, brace yourselves for MARKUS BRAUN’s EP, a blend of club and underground appeal. Further, SOUTHSIDE DIDDY gears up for a monumental 2024, gracing mainstages with his signature vocals, while HAWD HITTA continues to tour, expanding the label’s reach globally. The excitement doesn’t end here – catch MARKUS BRAUN on his Spring 2024 tour, a testament to Club Level Records’ ascent in the LA music scene.

Firstly, when asked about MARKUS BRAUN had the following to say: “I sat on this project for months, always waiting for the perfect vocalist to go on it. When HAWD HITTA invited me into the studio, I walked into SOUTHSIDE spitting a verse on another tune and knew immediately that I needed to get him on the track. Reworking the tune to get the energy right, it all came together so naturally.

Furthermore, he continues:

“It was such a beautiful experience watching artists from different genre backgrounds come together to make a track that allowed a spotlight on each of their styles to shine in the mix. I’m looking forward to 2024, with the release of this tune and a 3 song EP that will waterfall release into the new year. That, alongside some show dates in different cities across the states and the growth HAWD HITTA and I are seeing with Club Level records, 2024 is gonna be a big year”.

Secondly, SOUTHSIDE DIDDY adds:

“I think what makes this song so special is that we’re experiencing what music is today in its purest form… kids now don’t just listen to one style of music, & the perspective of one’s understanding of music is derived from a lot of different sounds. ‘Coming in hot’ is the perfect blend of what’s to come , & a sneak peak to the future of music. Rap Edm might on day be a genre of its own one day.”

Thirdly, Hawd Hitta had the following to say:

This track would not have been possible without God aligning the stars, and a big shout-out goes to MARKUS BRAUN and Southside Diddy for working so well together to believe in the vision of this track. They worked over the summer to make sure it came out the way it did. It’s been amazing to work with MARKUS BRAUN and the wizard Ian Edson on Club Level Records but also a big shoutout goes to our media guy in Shane Jacobs.

Lastly, MARKUS BRAUN, SOUTHSIDE DIDDY & HAWD HITTA’s ‘Coming In Hot’ is out now on Club Level Records. In conclusion, it can be streamed below, enjoy!

Growing up in Chicago, MARKUS BRAUN always had a passion for EDM. Pulling inspiration from the Dons of Tech House, Markus’ unique sound as a House DJ and producer has pushed the boundaries of where the genre can go.

At college, while studying engineering, Markus began to pursue his interest in music production and DJing. Seeing his favorite artists perform at iconic venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater, and Fox Theater, sparked a desire to pursue a career in music. As he experimented with different sounds and styles, Markus developed a deep understanding and passion for electronic music. This is a passion that would later define his style as an artist.

In 2020, Markus moved to LA to pursue his career as a DJ. He’s played at multiple clubs throughout the city and has a loyal following of fans who are drawn to his energetic performances. His explosion in the underground scene has allowed him direct support for the likes of Chr0meb0dies, Mike Taylor, Boyz Noize, and more. With his unique blends of bassline, and Tech grooves, MARKUS BRAUN is making his name in the Tech House scene.

As 2024 unfolds, fans are eagerly anticipating the Jan. release of The 4AM EP. This is a project that encapsulates Markus’ signature sounds. Markus is set to weave his musical magic across the Americas this spring. I say this as he continues to redefine the boundaries of House music. In the process infusing each venue with his passion and energy. He aims to prove that his music is not just heard, it’s experienced.

Southside Diddy 819x1024 1 jpeg

Kyle Caines, otherwise known as SOUTHSIDE DIDDY, is a soulful melodic artist originally born in St.Thomas, USVI. South’s family moved around the US for a short time before finally settling in Atlanta, GA. Growing up on the southside of Atlanta is where SOUTHSIDE DIDDY’s love for music grew. Going from listening to Reggae, Dancehall and R&B to the heavy bass of southern Trap, Melodic Rap & New York’s style Hip-Hop motivated the young Southside to want to be a part of what he enjoyed listening to.

Throughout high school, SOUTHSIDE DIDDY started taking chorus & band seriously. It was at this time that he developed a deeper love for melodic sounds and hearing instruments in harmony. Around that time Southside’s uncle, DJ Benny D, often took him to various studios & tours. It was in these moments that the young Southside was able to watch artists such as Akon & R. City perform and record first-hand. Southside later joined the US Marine Corps in 2013 where he was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. Being so close to San Diego and Los Angeles, Southside would drive to & from each city to network and maintain old & new relationships while on active duty military.

When the military tour was over, his love for the development of music artists returned along with other traits. One of which became songwriting which he did for various artists. Not too long after, Diddy dropped his first single ‘New Lover’ in late November of 2018. At that moment the legacy of SOUTHSIDE DIDDY the artist had just begun.

HAWD HITTA is a Norwegian-American electronic producer, DJ and creative visionary based out of Los Angeles, CA. Greatly inspired by electronic music legends Avicii, Oliver Heldens, Sigala, and Calvin Harris; he stepped into the game with an eagerness to take off. In September of 2018, HAWD HITTA formed the EDM duo CHOVA. His career as an artist soared to new heights in 2019 opening and closing for global music acts such as Sigala, Two Friends, Matoma, KSHMR, BROHUG, Audien, Tritonal, ARTY, Hotel Garuda, Lucas & Steve, and GoldFish.

He kicked off the Summer performing at the 2019 Infieldfest (Kygo, Frank Walker, Logic, Juice WRLD, FISHER) followed by the Moonrise festival on the Lunar Stage (ZHU, Gryffin, Desiigner, and blackbear). The duo performed over 30 shows in 10 different states, including three shows at Echostage (Washington DC)—the #1 club in the US; and #1 in the world (DJ MAG). HAWD HITTA had his first shows in 2021 at the iconic Avalon HOLLYWOOD, where he opened for Hook N Sling and Borgeous. Moving over to performing with Insomniac Events, went on to the Mainstage in May 2022 where he performed with Cedric Gervais at Academy LA.

During his 2022 Fall Tour, HAWD HITTA headlined a majority of shows. He even played as support for Dada Life & Matoma at Academy LA, Klingande at Soundcheck DC and Laidback Luke at TAO Group’s LAVO in NYC. 2023 support slots include shows with Imanbek, Bassjackers, Borgeous, and Lost Kings at Academy LA. In conclusion, after this year he will wrap up his fall tour. All fans can expect it to start up again in the Spring of 2024.

NFL Announces Tiësto As Their First Ever In-Game DJ For The Super Bowl

image 25 1024x765 1

Yes, you read that right. Dance music is coming to the Super Bowl. Sport’s biggest party has finally arrived. My favorite day in American culture. The biggest annual sports event. Such a mighty celebration requires nothing but the best in every sense of the word. Teams, commentators, staff, and of course, a proper DJ to keep the party going! Yesterday, the NFL announced that the man in charge of setting fire to the Super Bowl in-game party will be no other than the legendary Tiësto!

image 25 1024x765 2

The Super Bowl is the biggest stage in entertainment. It doesn’t matter if you don’t like football. Millions tune in during the first or second weekend of February, even if only for 15 minutes, intending to watch one of the most expensive shows on earth. This year’s halftime show will be performed by Usher. No, I don’t get it either.

A Terrible Headlining Choice

In what might be the most controversial announcement in recent years for the Super Bowl halftime show, the organizers showed they have no clue about the current music scene. Selecting an artist that was at its popularity peak a decade ago is nothing but the ultimate boomer move.

The in-stadium crowd, however, appears to have gotten luckier than us poor devils stuck with this mediocre show. Tiësto, who’s no stranger to performing on big stages for sports events, is sure to set the entire place ablaze. We hope that this will help the halftime show organizers realize that a DJ happens to be the perfect act to book for this specific show. Diplo, David Guetta, DJ Snake. The list goes on and on.

Dance music is known for its unreal production, heavy stages, and amazing stadium shows. What is the NFL waiting to tap this massive market? Hopefully, after next Sunday, all of this we’ll be no more. Tiësto is going to the Super Bowl!

EDMTunes New Music Friday – Week 4 (Part One)

Nicky Romero x Jaimes x Deniz Koyu Tomorrow Comes

Listen to the most flavour-packed tracks we discovered this week.

We’re back on our compilations! Music makes the world go round. And in that regard, we’re constantly on the lookout for new, exciting tunes to share with our audience. We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday.

Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order.

Nicky Romero, Deniz Koyu & Jaimes – Tomorrow Comes

Genre: Progressive House, Big Room

Nicky Romero x Jaimes x Deniz Koyu Tomorrow Comes 1

A collaboration of cosmic proportions is the one in charge of opening the 2024 season of New Music Fridays here at EDMT. Dance legends Nicky Romero and Deniz Koyu meet the powerful voice of Jaimes for a stunning composition.

Tomorrow Comes‘ is pure Progressive House bliss. You know Romero’s sound by now. Pair that melody with Koyu’s groove and you’ve got yourself a very interesting and uplifting piece. Honestly, it couldn’t be any other way with such masters at work.

Genre: Tech House

Coming your way from Eastside Long Beach is DJ and producer FLOYD WEST22, a talent who is rising fast like the foam on a badly poured beer. Unlike said beer, though, FLOYD’s rise is pretty tasty. Making beats with the heart of Tech House but the energy of harder-hitting genres, this one is one to watch closely.

QUEEN OF HEARTS‘ is FLOYD’s latest journey. Contrasting crowded segments with silence, and pairing dry percussion with tremolo’d vocals, you’d better be ready to try and digest the amount of groove this track contains. Quite the track if you ask us.

Emi Galvan & DJ Zombi – Train Affair

Genre: Organic House

Emi Galvan x DJ Zombi Train Affair

Songuara, an Organic House record label which saw quite the jump in the charts throughout 2023, is kicking off 2024 with a proper bang. This time, two continents come together, for Emi Galvan & DJ Zombi joined forces for the Frequency Shift EP.

Train Affair‘ is side B of the EP, and to say it’s savoury would be a tremendous understatement. Hypnotic arpeggios, ever-evolving sounds, and spacial textures meet the crispiest percussion to achieve an overall state only properly crafted Organic House can lead you to.

Gigamesh – Holding On

Genre: Chicago House, Old-School House

Gigamesh Holding On

Warning, you may be teleported all the way to the 1970s Disco era with this gem! Based in the City of Angels, Matt Masurka, known in the business as Gigamesh, has built quite the career for years now. Having worked on a variety of Billboard 100 singles plus an extensive discography, his creativity knows no bounds.

Holding On‘ instantly caught our eye, and our ear. It’s a track that proves old is gold, by using a plethora of vintage, Disco-inspired sounds over a Chicago House base. From funky guitar tapping to the most thematic vocal possible — raspy and everything —, you won’t want to pause the song once you’ve hit ‘Play’.

Daniel Kick – Hit Me Up

Genre: Future Garage

Daniel Kick Hit Me Up

Daniel Kick is, for certain, a force to be reckoned with. With little following on socials yet an incredible sound quality, we’re certain 2024 will be his year. Born in Ukraine and currently residing in Poland, Kick usually delivers Bass House bangers. Not this time, though: he’s crafted something quite touching we wanted to share.

Hit Me Up‘ is not any ordinary song; it’s an ethereal, airy, futuristic walk in the park. Birds meet smooth leads, neverending chords will soothe your mind, and, to top it all, the drops are gentle but fast-paced, and remind us of a certain guy whose name ends with again

Yannick Mueller – Not Enough

Genre: Organic House, Deep House

Yannick Mueller Not Enough

We called it before! If there’s something that characterises the essence of Yannick Mueller, is going against the current. Innovating is his strongest feature, and he makes sure to let that be known. Today, for instance, he’s not coming with a Melodic Techno piece like last time.

Coming in hot with a brand-new Organic House track, Mueller is exploring yet another dimension of sound through a hybrid product of the catchy percussion of said genre and the essence of Deep House, resulting in a warm, soft, yet dynamic tune. Lovely!
