The world of men’s grooming has grown exponentially over the last few years and I for one am very thankful. Long gone are the days when a simple bar of soap and warm water were the only tools us men used to care for our face, nowadays any skincare brand worth their salt will do a range specifically aimed at men and the problems we face. For me, there’s only one brand that acts as the ultimate one-stop-shop.
Kiehl’s brought out their first product way back in 1921 but they really hit their stride in the 1960’s when they started to create lotions, cleansers and lip balms. Fun fact, the blue Astringent Lotion was a favourite of Andy Warhol’s. Since then, they have continued to grow, improve and most importantly, innovate. They pride themselves on creating products for any skin type, any problem areas, all with the focus of creating powerful yet safe formulas to ensure visibly healthier-looking skin.
Their men’s range, much like their women’s, covers everything from energising cleaners, anti-wrinkle serums to creamy eye treatment, but for now, let’s keep it simple.
Facial Fuel Enegizing Face Wash – £20.50
Formulated with caffeine, menthol, vitamin E and orange, the Facial Fuel Cleanser refreshes and awakens the skin, getting rid of the tired, dull look that we all fall victim to do give an overall fresher look.
Now, there are plenty of serums on offer to apply in-between cleansing and moisturising but in an attempt to keep things simple, I’m jumping straight to the cream. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream is by far their most popular, and after one application, you’ll see why. Perfect for any skin type, this cream boasts 24 hours moisture, even in the most challenging of environments. Best of all, no fragrance.
Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado – £41.00
They are called the window into the soul for a reason, so the least you should do is take care of the skin around them. The Creamy Eye Treatment helps to nourish the area whilst releasing a quick burst of hydration immediately after application. Trust me when I say that ending your routine with this cream is the simplest way to ensure all your face stays hydrated and bright throughout the entire day. As always with Kiehl’s, all skin types are accepted.
