LOT #723 – 2023 MASERATI MC20 – NO RESERVE

Maserati ushered in a new era with the introduction of the MC20, a cutting-edge supercar that seamlessly blends performance, sporty prowess and opulence in the unmistakable Maserati fashion. Bearing the moniker “MC20,” where “MC” represents Maserati Corse and “20” signifies its 2020 debut year, this extraordinary 2023 Maserati MC20 offered with No Reserve during the inaugural 2023 New Orleans Auction boasts extraordinary aerodynamic efficiency with an innate sporty spirit.

Under its hood lies the formidable Nettuno engine ‒ a twin-turbo V6 powerhouse that generates a staggering 630 horsepower. According to Maserati, this mechanical marvel has an impressive 538 ft/lbs of torque and propels the MC20 from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 2.9 seconds, achieving an astounding top speed of over 202 miles per hour. To harness this prodigious power, the engine harmonizes seamlessly with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The vehicle comes adorned with upgraded red brake calipers, featuring a dual wishbone sport suspension complemented by active dampers, and even offers the convenience of a suspension lifter option. It confidently glides on sleek 20-inch black birdcage wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza summer tires.

Embodying a remarkable mid-engine configuration, this car boasts a weight of 3,306 pounds, courtesy of its carbon-fiber monocoque body. Its exterior is elegantly adorned in Grigio Mistero Silver, featuring a captivating two-layer paint finish with a striking red accent stripe and nose, set off by sleek black trim elements. Adding to its allure, the vehicle showcases butterfly doors, a carbon-fiber spoiler and a black rear valance hosting a dual chrome-plated stainless rear-exit exhaust. Further enhancing its modern aesthetics, this Maserati is equipped with full LED vertical headlamps at the front and full LED taillamps at the rear.

The interior of this vehicle is a testament to modern luxury and sophistication. It boasts a state-of-the-art 10.25-inch digital flatscreen gauge display seamlessly integrated with a flatscreen touch-control center display. The seating experience is elevated with heated, 6-way sport power seats, upholstered in premium black leather and accentuated by Alcantara trim panels and a matching headliner. Throughout the cabin, eye-catching red accent stitching weaves a thread of distinction, including the iconic Maserati trident logos beautifully embroidered on the headrests. The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel features exquisite carbon-fiber accents, and you’ll find precision-engineered dark aluminum paddle shifters elegantly mounted on the column, ready to enhance your time behind the wheel.

Additional options elevate the driving experience, ensuring both comfort and convenience. This car offers the luxury of dual-zone climate control, making every journey a pleasure. Keyless entry provides a seamless and effortless approach to your vehicle. The presence of stainless-steel door sills adds a touch of refinement to the interior, while lightweight stainless-steel sport pedals and an aluminum footrest underscore its sporty character.

Entertainment and connectivity are taken to the next level with a premium sound system, ensuring an immersive audio experience. The security and remote start system provide peace of mind and convenience. A backup camera enhances safety during parking maneuvers, while blind-spot alert and rear cross-path detection assist in monitoring your surroundings. Cruise control makes those long-distance journeys considerably more relaxing.

For the tech-savvy, a wireless phone charger keeps devices powered up. Entertainment options include Sirus XM, navigation for seamless assistance, and compatibility with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for comprehensive smartphone integration. With just 391 actual miles on the odometer, this car offers a nearly pristine driving experience.

Beach Boy: A surf-ready Yamaha WR155R scrambler from Thailand

Yamaha WR155R scrambler by Dream Fast Co.
A surfboard rack on a motorcycle might seem like a gimmick to some, but if you live in Bali and love surfing, it’s a downright necessity. The Indonesian island is peppered with surf spots—and a small bike with a rack is the best way to get to them. It doesn’t hurt if that motorcycle looks as good as this Yamaha WR155R scrambler.

The bike was built by Dream Fast Co. for Tiw, the founder of the Laem Yah Rayong Surf Club. Both parties are based in Thailand, but the influence came directly from Bali’s motorcycle and surf culture. Tiw has Balinese friends who use vintage enduro bikes to find hard-to-reach surf spots, and wanted to capture that vibe in his Yamaha WR155R.

Dream Fast Co.’s mandate was to take the modern and reliable WR155R and inject it with a big dose of classic Yamaha dirt bike style. It sounds simple enough on paper, but in reality, it meant wading through piles of plastic to shed the WR155R’s contemporary aesthetic.

Once the Yamaha was denuded of its plastics, the Dream Fast Co. crew set about reworking its lines. The subframe was hacked off, and a new one was fabricated, this time with a kicked-up loop at the back. A new seat sits up top; it’s designed for one, but there is a smidge of space out back if you and your passenger want to get extremely cozy.
