It’s one to get bored while waiting in line or listening to a boring lecture. Another thing is to be bored by life itself.
What can you do to combat this existential boredom of yours?
Today, my guest will be sharing a remedy on the show. Kevin Hood Gary is a philosophy of education professor who specializes in education. Our conversation begins with a discussion of the differences between situational boredom and existential, and the latter occurs when we only switch between work and entertainment. Kevin believes that we should add leisure to our lives in the way that ancients did. We discuss what this looks like and how we can embrace solitude, study and epiphanies.
